4th of july

In honor of the Fourth of July, here's Abraham Lincoln.

Fun Facts about Abraham Lincoln:

--Successfully led the country through its greatest constitutional, military and moral crisis—the American Civil War--by preserving the Union by force while ending slavery and promoting economic modernization.

--Issued his Emancipation Proclamation in 1863, and promoted the passage of the 13th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, abolishing slavery.

--Preferred to honor-duel with swords and axes, as his long reach and natural strength gave him considerable advantage.

  3. Yeah, Lincoln would probably look at us and say "Wait a minute, I held the Union together for THESE dipshits??!"

Or more probably he would point up in the sky and shout "Eee-ah! Iron bird!"

    (Thanks, Dave Letterman.)

  5. Sorry, Mr Zachary "Old Rough and Ready/ President For Only Sixteen Months Before Dying of Acute Gastroenteritis" Taylor, I may get around to you eventually. As in, maybe before I die.

(I love the fact that the Wikipedia page for Taylor has the notation "For the Power Rangers character, see Zack Taylor")

I think so far my list of drawn Presidents is Lincoln, Washington, Nixon, John Adams, Jefferson, Taft, and Obama.

They would certainly make an interesting superhero group.
